T. Dub was answering an email by a girl named Karen, on how to deal
with her boyfriend's attitude. What happened was Karen and her
boyfriend is in a long distance relationship and he would call her at a
pre-arranged time to chat.
Naturally, Karen would be waiting anxiously for the call, but
unfortunately her boyfriend does not always stick to the arrangement.
Not wanting to sound like an old nagging dame but can't bear to be let
down all the time, Karen turned to T. Dub for advice. He then revealed
a sneaky way to help Karen manipulate her boyfriend and fix her
troubled relationship!
According to T.Dub, people unconsciously try to live up to the
expectations of others. It is just like when your mum thinks that you
are a great non-smoking daughter, you would not want to smoke in front
of her. Such is the fundamental of fixing a relationship. Instead of
giving a earful to her boyfriend, which Karen is smart enough to avoid,
T. Dub advised her to praise him instead.
He suggest Karen to say something like, "I was going to go out with
Jessica, but I just knew you would call just as planned. I told her
I'll go next time because you always call when you say you'd call..."
Sneaky, huh?
So now, Karen's boyfriend was beaming with pride, thinking that his
girlfriend admired him keeping his promise. Because pride is something
a guy treasure highly, he would do anything to upkeep that reputation!
Don't make the mistake of thinking this only works on guys. It may work
better on guys but let's not forget that girls love to please and to be
regarded highly too.
That's not all. T. Dub suggest that in order to come on as more
genuine, Karen should in let her boyfriend overheard this remark when
she is talking to someone else. Something like "Hey Jessica, this is
Karen. You lost! I just knew that Tom is going to call, like he always
do when he say he will. Now I really can't go to that sale with you..."
while putting Tom on hold. That way, he'd never suspect that she is
trying to manipulate him to fix the
troubled relationship.
But Jackson seem to forget something here. With this neat trick, you
can proceed to fix any relationship with absolutely anyone, not just
